Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to the Journal of Sharia Economics and Community Enterprise undergoes a peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, relevance, and scientific contribution to the development of sharia economics and community empowerment studies.

All submitted manuscripts will first be evaluated by the editors regarding their suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, writing format, and similarity level (plagiarism screening). Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will proceed to the review stage.

This journal applies a Double-Blind Peer Review system, in which both the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed to maintain objectivity and independence in the review process. Each manuscript will be reviewed by at least 2 (two) reviewers who have expertise relevant to the subject area of the article.

Reviewers may provide one of the following recommendations:

  • Accepted without revision
  • Accepted with minor revisions
  • Accepted with major revisions
  • Rejected

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ and editors’ comments within the specified time frame. The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of the manuscript will be made by the editor based on the reviewers’ evaluations and editorial board considerations.

All review processes are conducted professionally, objectively, and confidentially.
