Journal of Sharia Economics and Community Enterprise is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement of publication ethics is based on the principles of integrity, transparency, and professionalism in scholarly publishing. All parties involved in the publication process, including editors, reviewers, authors, and publishers, are expected to adhere to these ethical standards.
Duties and Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for deciding which submitted articles should be published based on the quality, originality, relevance, and contribution of the manuscript to the field of sharia economics and community enterprise.
Editors must:
- Evaluate manuscripts objectively and fairly without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, or institutional affiliation.
- Maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and reviewer identities.
- Ensure that all published articles meet academic and ethical standards.
- Avoid conflicts of interest in the editorial process.
- Take appropriate action in cases of ethical misconduct, plagiarism, or data manipulation.
Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers assist editors in evaluating the scientific quality and academic contribution of manuscripts.
Reviewers must:
- Conduct reviews objectively, professionally, and in a timely manner.
- Maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts under review.
- Provide constructive comments and suggestions to improve the manuscript.
- Identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors.
- Inform the editor about any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical concerns.
- Decline to review manuscripts in cases of conflicts of interest.
Duties and Responsibilities of Authors
Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality and quality of their manuscripts.
Authors must:
- Present accurate, original, and objective research findings.
- Ensure that the manuscript has not been published or submitted elsewhere simultaneously.
- Properly cite all sources and references used in the manuscript.
- Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification.
- Ensure that all contributors who significantly participated in the research are listed as authors.
- Disclose any financial support or conflicts of interest related to the research.
- Cooperate with the editorial process, including revisions requested by reviewers and editors.
Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Sharia Economics and Community Enterprise will be screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding the journal’s policy limit may be rejected or returned to the authors for revision. Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is unacceptable.
Conflict of Interest
Editors, reviewers, and authors must disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the review, evaluation, or publication process. Conflicts of interest should be handled transparently to maintain academic integrity.
